When will I receive my tickets?
SFW in the City is a ticketless event. When you book online, you will receive a booking confirmation with a unique booking reference. You will need to print out this information and bring it to the event. You will also need ID for check-in - this can be either your driving licence, passport or bank card.
Do I need ID?
All adult guests are required to bring photo ID.
What time does check-in begin?
Doors open at 11am Saturday 6th October 2018
What time does SFW in the City officially close?
The event will close on Sunday 8th October at approximately 12 midnight
Can I get the guests' autographs?
Signing passes are included in the price of the VIP & Royalty packages. Singing passes can also be purchased separately for £25. This allows you to get an autograph from each of the headline acts holding a signing session over the weekend. Photo's are not included and are at the headliners discretion. You may bring any item you wish to be signed. Signing slots will be allocated by a raffle ticket system in order to keep your waiting time as short as possible. Slot times will be advertised on the big screen in the main arena, and social media throughout the event. Signing passes are not transferable from person to person. Once you have your signing pass, there will be no additional charges for obtaining signatures; BUT PLEASE NOTE printed photos of the actors or other signable items are not included. Your signing pass only entitles you to one signature per guest. Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will get any particular guest's signature - that's dependent on how long a guest is available to sign for, and the amount of demand for their signature. Authors and comic creators will sign autographs in a different area of the venue for free, although you may want to purchase one of their books.

I want to book but can't afford to pay in full - can you help?
We are able to take deposits payments for hotel packages which would be 50% of the the total price.
I don't know any other people who want to go - can I still attend?
If you don't have anyone to share accommodation with then we can also arrange ticket-only packages that can be purchased per person.
Will there be alcohol at the event?
Alcohol will be served the whole time the arenas are open.
Can I bring my own food or alcohol into the event?
No you may not bring your own food or alcohol into the venue. Food & beverages are available in the venue for the duration of the weekend.
Are there any dress codes for the various events?
There is no dress code & cosplay is welcomed.
I'd like to record/film/photograph one of the sessions. Is this permitted?
This is fine in the large main arena. In smaller sessions, please ask the moderator if it is okay. Filming is absolutely forbidden in the screening zone area.If you wish to cover the event as a member of the press, please contact email@example.com
Can I bring flyers to hand out and promote another event?
No. If you are found to be flyering or self-promoting at the event without permission, you will be asked to leave the site immediately.
If I lose my wristband or laminate, can I get a replacement?
To replace a wristband or lanyard that has been reported lost, there is a charge of £50. You will need to bring ID to main reception to be issued with a replacement.
Is there anywhere I can get internet access?
There is WIFI available in the O2 Academy...
Is there a charge for parking?
Parking is available in the NCP car park beside the venue. Please refer to this section of the Academy's website for more information: Click Here
How much of the Weekender is suitable for children? Is there anywhere I can leave my kids while I'm off at a signing session?
Most of the Weekender is fine for kids, though some of the screenings will only be suitable for grown-ups. Unfortunately, there are no child-minding facilities.
Do you offer child discounts?
Children under 12 at the time of the event go for free with one full paying adult. For children aged between 13 - 16 we offer a 50% discount.
What should I NOT bring with me? Weapons & Props - Banned items
Please do not come to the venue with any offensive weapons or anything that might be considered dangerous. Cosplay weapons will only be allowed if they cannot be easily used to cause harm to others. Please use your common sense in this matter. We operate a zero-tolerance drug policy.
Please note the following items are banned from Sci-Fi Weekender events:
- Metal blades whether sharp or blunt (swords, axes, knives etc)
- Actual guns, rifles or artillery
- Explosives / incendiary devices
- Functional strung bows / crossbows
- Sharp arrows or bolts
- Heavy bats, paddles or clubs such as wooden or metal baseball bats.
- Any other items restricted from being carried in public by UK law.
No exceptions made for attendees regardless of licenses, memberships or training. Permission may be given to exhibitors at the event. Breaking the above rules based on what you have observed at the event will not be accepted as an excuse.
Melee weapon props of sensible materials are permitted eg. Wood, foam, card etc. avoiding materials that may shatter into sharp pieces or otherwise pose a danger.
Please take care transporting any form of realistic imitation weapons. Be aware of your surroundings and how your props may be perceived by bystanders to avoid involvement of the police.
Chic Festivals reserve the right to deny entry, withdraw access or cancel tickets without refund at any Sci Fi Weekender event to anyone deemed to be breaking these rules. Security for the event and the venue reserve the right to reject any weapon or prop if deemed likely to cause a nuisance.

How do I update the names on my tickets?
- 1. Sign in to customer account
2. Click the "My Account" link in the site menu
3. Click the "My Orders" link in the sidebar
4. Click the "View Order" link on the order you want to edit
5. Click the "Edit Party Members" link at the top of the order
6. Edit party member details then click the "Save Changes" button
